Dior Sauvage EDP is an amber fougere fragrance for men, launched in 2019. It is a highly concentrated and warmer interpretation of the original Dior Sauvage Eau de Toilette, created by perfumer François Demachy. Inspired by a wilderness under a blue-tinged night sky, the scent is described as having a rich, heady, and intoxicating trail.

FRAGRANCE PROFILE

To compose Sauvage EDP, Dior drew inspiration from a wild, unspoiled expanse beneath a blue-tinged night sky, as the intense odors of a crackling fire rise into the air. Its trail unfurls notes of mandarin, tonka bean and sandalwood.

Top notes: The scent opens with a burst of crisp and juicy citrus from Calabrian bergamot and spicy mandarin orange. A hint of elemi adds a resinous, peppery nuance.

Middle note: A creamy and precious note of Sri Lankan sandalwood forms the heart of the fragrance.

Base notes: The dry-down is warm, sweet, and sensual, with tonka bean, olibanum (frankincense), and vanilla. The tonka bean provides a slightly bitter, leathery aroma that complements the sweet vanilla.

Rich and deep: Sauvage Parfum offers a richer and more oriental scent profile than the other versions of Sauvage. The sweet base notes give it a deeper warmth, making it particularly well-suited for evening wear and cooler seasons.

High concentration: As a "Parfum" concentration, it contains a higher percentage of fragrance oils than the Eau de Toilette (EDT) or Eau de Parfum (EDP). This results in enhanced longevity and a more prominent, yet refined, sillage.
